Every evening around six, the light in Cali turns the color of the mango carts on Avenida Sexta and the whole street seems to slow down for it. Someone always has a speaker playing salsa a block over. If you ever pass through, skip the museum for an hour and just walk east until you hear it. That is the real welcome.
